So the question for today is What is my Most Prized Possession and why? That is a hard question to answer. However, if I can only choose one thing then I would have to say my Scrapbook. I included the picture at the top. But let me tell you why this Scrapbook is so special.
You see my daughter's name is Heather. Heather was a 19 yr old mom of two. One night she got on the back of a motorcycle and didn't come home. She was a passenger and she was sideswiped by a car. She died at the scene but they brought her back only for her to die 2 hrs later at the hospital. That was the night the world changed for my entire family. My family was ripped apart.
She was the center of attention no matter where she went. She was the first born of 9 grandchildren within a 4 year period. She was a sweet person but a force to be reckoned with if something didn't go right. You can check out my dedication page to her right Here. It is still a work in progress. We had it all set up a year after she passed but the website company changed some things around and we can't seem to figure it all out. It was hard. To believe that she was gone. To this day it is hard at times to talk about her without getting upset.
One of my good friends that I grew up with and my kids call Aunt decided that she was going to have a Scrapbook made for me in honor of Heather. She brought it to me at work and had me surrounded by other members at work in case I collapsed. Honestly I almost did but I held my own. However, the tears are another story. I don't think there was a person there not crying with me. I wanted to do a video of the scrapbook and put it on here for all to share however, I have never done a video on my computer so I will have that as my next project.
But for now I will share with you several photos from the book. I hope you can see by the photos how much she was loved, how fun she was and how she could light up a room no matter who was in it or what the mood was.
Please feel free to leave a comment either on here or at her dedication blog. There is also a video of her on the blog as well if you would like to check it out. It is a bit wobbly and it gets turned upside down, sideways and so forth. I didn't realize my camera was still recording so it is in all kinds of directions. But you will see just how she was.
