Bad Weekend

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I know mine could have been better.  It started out shitty and only seemed to get worse from there.   I won't get into details because well there isn't enough time for you to read it or me to type it.

You see my husband and I got into a major argument and well lets just say that it was an extremely nasty argument.  Things were said and done that can't be taken back and haven't been apologized for.  It only escalated from there and there was not alot of happy people in the house when it was all said and done.

Long story short my husband and I haven't really talked since Friday night when this all happened.  He and I had a conversation in regards to the argument Saturday morning but I honestly don't know if it really helped.  I mean lets face it, he hasn't spoken to me and I haven't spoken to him.  I am sure that my husband won't read this and if he does then I will be totally shocked and we will probably end up in another argument.  He doesn't like for people to be in our business but I have to get these thoughts out of my head.  I talked to my brother and sister-in-law both about it and they both told me the same thing, take a deep breathe and calm down and maybe Saturday would be better.  Well it really wasn't.  I was still mad and hurt and he was well, I am not sure what he was, since he don't show much emotion,  and neither one of us budged or apologized for what had happened.  In his eyes he doesn't see it as anything wrong in what he did, as to where I see it as a major issue.  Of course I didn't apologize for what I said either which he says caused his reaction.  Either way we were both wrong and could have handled the situation alot better then what we did.

So I was searching for some images when I came across this one below and it made me stop and think.  Is it over?   We haven't said hardly 2 words to each other since this Saturday night.  I mean seriously we talked about the same things that have been an issue from day one practically since we got married.  Nothing has really changed that much but he has made an improvement on ONE thing that he said he would work on two years ago.  But at least it is One Thing right?  I mean granted I am sure I am not an easy person to live with but I ain't that bad either.  Right now I am just wondering if he is going to be home when I get there.  Anyway,  I just had to get this out of my mind.

I just want him to apologize for what happened.  Rather he feels he is right or wrong doesn't matter.  What matters is what happened and the results of it and not who is right or who is wrong!!!!!!!

Busy week and doctors appointments!!!!!

Mixture of Butterfly Daffodils from http://www.whiteflowerfarm.com/111573-product.html

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog.  Thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment of your time.  I just wanted to do a quick post of what this week has had in store for me and my family.

It started out with a doctors appointment for my daughter to get another ultrasound of the baby and make sure everything is going fine.  We got to see him move a little bit but he didn't want to cooperate with the technician.  She did say however, that he is going to be born with hair.  I am so excited as the time gets closer for him to get here but only in his own time and terms.

Then yesterday my daughter took 1 of 4 parts of her GED test and she pasted it.  Today she took another part for her language arts and I am sure she passed it as well.  I on the other hand was still playing catch up at work from taking half a day on Monday and then knowing I had to leave early today to go to my doctor.  I just haven't been feeling all that great and I know that that older I get parts start to hurt that I didn't notice before.  Part of the life cycle I am sure.

Remember when we were all kids and wanted to be grown????  Well let me tell you I wish I was a kid again because this getting old and hurting shit is for the birds.  You hear me?  FOR THE BIRDS I TELL YOU!!!!!!!  However, the doctor did give me some muscle relaxers, my migraine medicine and is scheduling a sleep apnea test.    I can't sleep well now what makes him think I can sleep in a hospital room under surveillance?  I am not looking forward to it that is for sure.

Tomorrow my daughter goes and takes part 3 of her GED test and I have to go meet my District Manager with Avon and sign 2 new recruits on my lunch break and then get my butt back to work and get finished getting caught up on everything.  Get the rest of my brochures stamped and dated and get deliveries done.  Oh man what a busy week this is.

My husband had to leave at 3 this morning to go to work and he won't be home till tomorrow so tonight I did the dishes, went to the grocery store, have a load of laundry in the wash with another one waiting and still have to cook dinner and clean the house.

So I am going to jump off of here, finish laundry, cook dinner and get my office cleaned and make some phone calls to schedule deliveries.  Hope everyone has a great night.

Wednesday Hodgepodge!!!!!!!

Hello and welcome to another edition of Wednesday Hodgepodge.  If you haven't joined in on the fun yet then you are missing out.  Every Tuesday Joyce over at From This Side of the Pond list several questions and we answer them and then link up with her and meet new people.  So after you are done here be sure to stop by at Joyce's and join in on the fun.  Don't forget to let me know you were here.

1. Under what circumstances do you do your best thinking?
--- hmmmm that is a bit of s a stumper...obivoulsy not now...lol.  Seriously I would have to say when I don't really understand something.  I have a habit of researching the heck out of something if I don't understand some or all of something.

2. Are you a risk taker? What's one big risk you've taken?

---- When I was younger, YES!!!!  Now that I am in my 40's...NO!!!!  When I was 18 I had a party at my house and when the guys pasted out, me and 2 other people took their car keys and went on a joy ride.  Now don't get upset about that because I was the Designated Driver and living on my own, the rules were I wouldn't drink but no one was allowed to drive after they had so much as one drink!!!!

3. Some of the most common phobias according to the National Institute for Mental Health are-fear of spiders (arachnaphobia), snakes (ophidiophobia), heights (acrophobia), fear of spaces from which escape is difficult (agoraphobia), fear of thunder and lightening (astrophobia), fear of dogs (cynophobia), injections (trypanophobia), social situations, flying (pteromerhanophobia) and fear of germs and dirt (mysophobia). True phobias affect only about 10% of adults, but of those listed which would you rate as your greatest fear?

---- You mean I can only pick 1???????  No fair, Ok ok, I am going to say arachnaphobia.  Although, snacks, heights, and dogs scare me also.  Dogs only if I don't know them and if they aren't confined.  I was attached when I was little by a Doberman.

4. Are you settled or do you feel the need to move somewhere new?

---- Louisville will always be home but I am so ready to move from here.  I want to move to the beach somewhere or to Colorado.

5. What is something you find annoying when dining in a restaurant?

----  Sweeping!!!!!!!!  OMGoodness, can you say dirt, dust and debris flying everywhere.  I understand that they have to keep the place looking somewhat cleaned but do that before I get my food for crying out loud.  The other thing is when we do a call ahead seating for only 2 and someone walks in without reservation with 4 and they get seated immediately.  This happened just this past week.  errrrrrr

6. Daffodil yellow, sunset orange, spring green, or sky blue...your favorite color this time of year?

---Daffodil Yellow for sure. It is a happy color and reminds me of my childhood.

7. If you were going to take a holiday all by yourself, where would you go?

---- New York City,  I didn't get to see alot of things the last time I was there.  I want to go back!!!!!

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

----  Well it is getting closer to my grandson being here.  We got to go to the ultrasound appointment yesterday and the technician said he is going to be born with hair.  Just like his momma because his brothers were born bald.  Super happy about that.  But on a different note, I am finally getting to get to see my doctor about all my  aches and pains, sleeplessness and irritability.  Hopefully I won't be there to long and can get back to work.  I took off early yesterday and am taking off early today so I am loosing almost a whole day.  Ughhhh I am not going to like my paycheck this week.

Friday Letters on Saturday

Good morning everyone and happy Saturday.  Today I am bringing you Friday Letters a day late but for several good reasons.  1) I haven't figured out how to do a post and then have it automatically post...yes I know I need to figure this out! and 2) is because I got up at 5 am yesterday to attend my Avon President's Gala event and didn't get home till after 5 and I was mind numb after such a long day.  It was an 1 hr and 24 minute bus ride each way without coffee.

Me without coffee that long is like saying the Pope isn't Catholic.  It just isn't good.  But without further ado here is my Fridays Letters.  Hope you enjoy and don't forget to let me know you stopped by.

Dear God,  First and foremost I want to Thank You for giving me another day on this planet to share with my family and friends and Avon Family.  You are the one in control of all that is going on and sometimes we forget to say thank you and acknowledge that.  So Thank You!!!!!!

Dear Trent,  I would be so lost without you. You are such an awesome husband.  I don't know how I would get up in the mornings for anything if it wasn't for you.  OK except may Saturday's when I have nothing to do or planned I always wake up at 7:04.....I don't know what is up with that.  But in case you didn't already know...I Love You and You are absolutely Awesome!!!!

Dear Victoria,  I am sorry that Christian is giving you issues. I am sure he is just a hard sleeper like his mommy was and when he gets here you will be more than missing your sleep time.  New babies have a tendency to do that to us mommies...you all did it to me but I wouldn't trade it for the world.  You are going to be a great mommy.

Dear Brandon,  I am sorry you are not very happy lately.  I really wish there was something I could do to make it better for you but I can't because you never tell me what is going on.  You go to work and then come home and stay in your room and I don't see you unless you are coming into the kitchen to get something to eat.  I just hope you know that I Love You and I am your biggest supporter and cheerleader.

Dear Sonye,  you absolutely rock!!!!!!!  What more can I say about you other then you are one of a kind.  Me and your sister were talking yesterday and she said that you love what you do and you give 200%, I corrected her and told her that you give more then that.  You are a true leader and I am honored to say that you are not only my Avon Sister but my friend as well.  You are more then deserving of all the many blessings that come your way and then some.  You are like a sister to me and I love you for being who you are.

Dear Michelle,  Wow, where to start with you?  When you came into our Avon District as the New District Manager I wasn't sure about how you would do and I remember telling you that you would face some challenges.  Man all I can say is you are absolutely the BOMB!!!!!  Not only are you taking our District places in the ranks but you are just an all around awesome person!!!!!!  You are giving, helpful, funny, supportive and you made me cry yesterday at the Gala.  Your words were truly touching and for to present me with the honor of The Spirit of Avon yesterday was a great surprise and honor.  You are a true leader and a genuine person who cares and it is an honor to call you my District Manager.
I know this isn't the best pic of you sorry it was the only one I had on my phone to use for this post.

Dear Leslie,  my other adopted District Manager, I miss you.  It was great seeing you yesterday and we certainly need to get together and do baskets and just hang out and all go out recruiting again.

Dear Scott and Kisha,  It was great to see you all when you were here and hoped you could have stayed longer but you all have a very full schedule.  Maybe when you come back down in the summer you can visit a little longer with us.

Dear Kevin and Marie,  Uh hello!!!!!!!  We were suppose to be doing Saturday dinner once a month and you all haven't been back in a while.  Of course you are some very picky eaters but that is ok I still love you both.  We should all get together and go out sometimes.

Dear work, why are we open on Saturday?  It isn't like we get any phone calls so it seems crazy to have someone sit here for 4 hrs on Saturday to answer the phone but whatever, I will take the overtime no problem.

Well that is all for me today on my Friday Letters.  I will be doing another post on my event yesterday for the Recognition of the President's Club Members for Avon.  Hope everyone has a great rest of their weekend and I will be talking to you all again soon.

Mayhem Wednesday Hodgepodge

Good morning or afternoon whenever you are reading this...lol.  Happy Wednesday, we made it half way through the week.  I don't know about you but I am glad it is Wednesday.

Today is another edition of Wednesday Hodgepodge brought to you by Joyce from From This Side of the Pond so be sure to check out her site and join in on the fun.  Don't forget to leave some blog love and let me know you were here.

1. It's still May, right? When were you last in the middle of something that might be described as mayhem?
----  Anything that involves my daughter who is pregnant is usually mayhem.  She is extremely hormonal and emotional as expected but everything is like a major issue no matter how small it is.

2. When did you last feel dismayed?
----  I feel dismayed alot lately.  I don't know if it is because both of my kids are home again who are grown, if it is the fact that I am wanting to be more successful with my Avon business or what it is but that is pretty much me most of the time now.

3. What's a food combination you like, but other people may find strange?
----  Greek salad with green and black olives along with pickles.

4. "It is never too late to be what you might have been." Do you think that's true? Why or why not?
---- I don't think it is true.  I wanted to be a marine biologist and a lawyer when I was younger.  Now I am terrified of water and more terrified of Judges and Cops.   So yes I do believe it can be too late.

5. US News and World Report listed the best historic destinations in the US as follows-Washington D.C, Philadelphia PA, Williamsburg VA, Charleston SC, Boston MA, Richmnd VA, Savannah, GA, Santa Fe NM, Yellowstone, San Antonio TX, San Francisco CA, New Orleans LA, and Charlottesville VA.

Of those listed how many have you seen in person? Which two sites on the list would you most like to see in person?
---  I have been to Washington D.C. and it was a pretty nice trip but nothing I would rave about.  As far as which two sites I wouold have to say Savannah, GA just because it is down home southern and San Francisco CA because of the cultural differences.  I love to explore new places and I haven't been on a really great trip in years.

6. May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. If you had to participate in a single fitness activity for the next half hour, which activity would you choose?
--- Oh wow do I really have to participate????  I guess it would be Soccer as far as sports go and Hiking for the physical fitness part.  I love a good hike and again I haven't been in years.  I kind of miss it.  Not that I was in great shape or anything but it did have its advantages on view points.

7. What did you like best about the city, town, or neighborhood where you grew up?
----  I have to say absolutely NOTHING!!!!!!!!  I have lived in Louisville, KY the majority of my life and I wish I lived in Colorado Springs.  I have moved away to Colorado Springs several times but kept coming back Home because it is what I was used to.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
---Today it is wet and rainy here and alot of Happy Ducks but not very happy people.  I swear it is like they all forget how to drive or something.  It took me over a half an hour to go 1 mile today and I was 15 minutes late to work.  That really frustrates me.  However, I am getting more excited because Friday I am taking off to attend an Honor Ceremony for Avon's elite Presidents Club which I am proud to say that I am a part of.  I am also getting more anxious about trying to get enough recruits with Avon to win a trip to Orlando Florida for 4 days.  Keeping my fingers crossed that I will make it but only time will tell.

Happy Mothers Day to All

Happy Heavenly Mother's day to the worlds greatest Moms taken too soon.  My mom aka Nanna and my daughter Heather Nicole Jaggers aka The Princess.  This photo was taken while Heather was pregnant with her son Aadyn.  Also happens to be the day of her daughter Kaylee Marie Logsdon birthday and her graduation day from high school.  She was so happy and so proud to be getting her diploma.

This was also the only time that my mom would allow us to take her photo.  She didn't like the camera very much ok at all but that is how she has always been that I can remember.  At least she let us take her picture at special occasions as this.  This wasn't a traditional graduation because Heather decided that her college career didn't need to be put on hold any longer then necessary and she dropped out and took her G.E.D. test immediately and passed on her first try with above average scores.  She was a bit of a book nerd I guess you could say.  But what matters is that she got it and she was heading to college.
Both of theirs lives was cut short shortly after graduation.  Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer and Heather was killed in a motorcycle accident.  Heather's children were 3 1/2 and 18 months.  They probably don't even remember her.  I know Aadyn doesn't.  It still breaks my heart to this day and it doesn't seem real but I know they are both gone and are in Heaven Together.  Mom was cremated and because she said she didn't want us wasting our money on a funeral.  Well Heather had a funeral and before they closed the casket lid we took moms ashes and slid them under the pillow in the casket so they would be together for all eternity. The Lord has two very special and precious Moms with him today that are greatly missed.

I didn't mean for this post to be sad or depressing but a reminder that no matter how hard your day is or your life may seem that there are other's out there that are less fortunate then you if you still have your mother.  We are not perfect in any form and mother's make mistakes just like everyone else and we learn as we go.  HOWEVER, NEVER EVER EVER DOUBT THE LOVE THEY HAVE FOR THEIR CHILDREN!!!!!!!   My mom, daughter and I were all extremely close and we still argued but at the end of the day and every conversation the last words that were spoken was "I LOVE YOU" so no matter what we always had those last 3 words to cherish.  Those are the 3 words I heard my daughter day before she was killed.  I cherish those words and still say them to this day.

So with that said, I want to take this moment to wish all of you a very Happy Mother's Day.  May your day be filled with Love, laughter, patience and understanding for we are all human and we all make mistakes.  However, knowing that we are loved and we love is always the most precious gift of all.  So tell your loved ones that you love them even if you are angry and hurt because those are only temporary emotions and the Love and Sacrifice that we go through for our family is a feeling and emotion that last forever no matter what.

So enjoy this day rather you are the Mom or the Dad Mom it is hard work and often times unnoticed the things that we go through for our children and families but we do it anyway and in their own way they appreciate it and just don't know how to say or show it.

Happy Mother's Day from one Mother to another, may you find love, peace, happiness and many many blessings.

Saturday with the Family

Hello everyone, I hope you all are having a great Saturday.  Today we have been both lazy and hectic at my house.  My brother and his wife Kisha from The Not So Glamorous French Housewife are in town visiting.  Scotts daughter Laura is graduating college Monday so they are in town making the most of it.  So today we went to the store and got flowers for mother's day since Scott hadn't been to the gravesite and we visited with our mom and my daughter Heather for a few minutes before it started to rain on us.  Scott said it was by chance that it rained on us....lol....that is just how our mom is when things got down or depressing she would always find a way to turn it around.  We had a few minutes to share with each other while we were there.  It doesn't seem like it has been 6 years but it has.  Time has flown by and it is hard to believe.

So tonight after they are done visiting with other relatives they are coming back here where I am fixing them Chicken Cordon Bleu with green bean casserole and mashed potatoes for dinner and a cheesecake for dessert.  I got the recipe from Christy Denney over at The Girl Who Ate Everything and man was it simple and delicious.  My sister-in-law took pics of dinner and I totally didn't because as usual I was running late with everything.  But it was just enough to feed the 6 of us and no leftovers.

Now obviously this isn't my picture I got it again from Christy Denney's blog where she gives excellent step by step instruction on how to make this wonderful delicious dish.  Man was it really super easy to do.  Not to mention the sauce that she gives directions for is amazing.  Everyone loved it and I was so happy and yet sad because there wasn't any left overs.  Now it says it yields 6 servings but I doubled the recipe because I was feeding 6 adults and I am glad that I did because if not then there wouldn't have been enough for us all to eat.

Kisha did get a pic of me and the kids with my brother which I wish I would of had her send me but I will put it up on another post soon.  But today was a busy day for them and honestly I was just glad to be able to spend time with them.  They didn't even eat the cheesecake they were so full but that is ok because that is one of my weaknesses so I will have some here in a bit with my coffee that my daughter made for us.

Hope everyone has a great evening and we will talk to you all later.  Happy Mother's day to all you mom's and dad moms as well.

Wednesday Hodgepodge!!!!!

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday.  Today I am joining up with Joyce over at From This Side of the Pond for another edition of Hodgepodge.  This one is centered around Moms, memories and childhood games.  So after reading this post let me know you stopped by and show some blog love and then head over to Joyce's place and join in on the fun.  Every Wednesday it is something different.

1. Share something you appreciate (or something you appreciated as you were growing up) about your mother.
---- I appreciated that no matter what kind of day she had she always made it a point to give me a hug, a kiss and tell me she loved me.  We were always close like that.

2.  A quote most commonly ascribed to Plato reads "Necessity is the mother of invention." When did this last play out in your own experience?
---- Wow when isn't this in play for me.  As a mother you sort of live life in this mode everyday.  I am currently putting it into play by trying to win a trip to Orlando with Avon.

3. Share one of the earliest memories you have from childhood.
----  I would have to say when I was around 3 or 4.  I remember we lived in this 3 story house that was sectioned into apartments.  We had a family of field mice that we used to feed all the time.

4. When did you last 'hit the mother lode'? What was it?
----  I would have to say about 2 years ago when my husband and I went to a Indian Casino in Scottsdale AZ.  I walked in with $100 and walked out with $500.  We walked out with $300 of the casinos money.

5. What is/was your favorite dish mom made? Do you make that dish for your family/friends now that you're all grown up?
---- This is a hard one.  I loved all of my moms cooking so it is a tough choice. I make goulash which she made but it don't taste like hers.  I loved her Fried Chicken but just recently learned to make it, again, it don't taste like hers.  But I think my all time favorite was her meatloaf.  She taught me how to make it but again, it don't taste like hers.  I really wish she would of taught me how to cook her steak with tomatoes sauce.

6. Mother May I? was at one time a popular children's game. It required no equipment or parts to play. What was your favorite childhood game where you could just turn up and play-no gear needed?
----  Oh that is an easy one, we loved to play Simon Says and Red Rover.

7. Which TV mom (past or present) is your favorite, and why?
----   That would be Lorelai Gilmore from the Gilmore Girls.  The show reminded me of my mom and I but also of my oldest daughter and I.  Lorelai was her daughters best-friend basically and that is how both my mother and I were and how my daughter and I were.  We were inseparable and always giving each other advice.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
----  It has been 6 years since my mom pasted and there isn't a day that doesn't go by that I don't miss her and wish she was here.  The same goes for my daughter as well....it will be 6 years in October since she joined my mom in Heaven.  Every Mother's Day my other daughter buys me something that is a trinket or such and haves it engraved with "Your the best Mom, Love Heather, Victoria and Brandon".  Even though Heather is no longer with us she still includes her in on everything.  It is really hard sometimes to even celebrate Mother's Day because I have such a huge hole in my heart and we are all missing Heather and my mom aka Nana and the grandkids since we can't visit with them.  So I like to pretend sometimes that it is just another day.  This year we are going to my ex-sister-in-laws for Mother's Day Brunch since my daughter is pregnant.  It will be different but I still miss them dearly.

Although on the brighter note, the fathers of my grandkids are starting to post pictures of them on Facebook now so I can see how they are growing up.  It still makes me miss them but at least I get a glimpse of them from a distance.

Kaylee was 3 1/2 when I seen her last.  Her birthday is May 18 and she will be 9.

Aadyn was only 18 months old when I seen him last and he will be 7 on June 22.

Maybe in time the dads will reconsider and let us be apart of their lives again.  We all love and miss them so much and want to be closer to them.
