Test Results, Feeling Blessed and Confused

Hello everyone.  Sorry I am not doing a Friday Letter post today.  I have way to much on my mind.

First I want to thank all of you that kept me in your prayers while I was waiting on my test results from my thyroid biopsy.  After alot of calls and getting rather loud and rude on the phone I finally got an answer.  The test came back normal and I have a clear bill of health.  Which lifted a huge wait off of my shoulders.  It drove me crazy going over the weekend not knowing the results when I was told that I would have them back in 3 days.  I can honestly say I have never dealt with a doctor like this one and I wasn't happy with the fact that he wouldn't return my calls at all.  The least he could have done was called back and told me the results weren't there yet.

As far as feeling blessed.  Well I have to say that my family is feeling blessed.  The other day my sister-in-law Kisha was in a horrible car accident and totaled her Jaguar.  Fortunately she survived but not without some bumps, bruises and some broken ribs but she is still here.  I am also thankful for the people that stopped to help her.

Feeling confused because I don't understand how people can sit and degrade, torment, criticize and belittle people the way they seem to do on the internet.  Now I will be the first to admit, I AM NOT A SAINT, I curse like a sailor even though I try my hardest not to on here, just because I do doesn't mean you want to read or hear it, I am not exciting, entertaining, the brightest, smartest, or most educated but that is OK.  I am me and you are you, so if you don't like someone then simply leave them alone.  Don't sit there and degrade them, belittle them, rag on them, call them names and say that you would do this or that when in fact you have a choice as well, you don't have to read, watch or interact with that person.    So I guess where I am going with this Confused thing is this........Do you teach your child/children to bully as well?  What do you think it is called when you do that to someone?  You are not perfect either.  So what we may not all be alike, we are not supposed to be.

The reason I write my blog is to get out there and meet other people, find different ways of doing things, get inspired about something and most importantly.......to know that I AM NOT ALONE!!!!!!!  There are other people out there going through things that any one of us may be going through and they just want to know that they are not alone.  So to all of you out there wondering if you are the only one feeling the way you are or going through what you are going through....THE ANSWER IS NO!!!!!!!!

Turn your issues and troubles to God and let him handle it.  To everyone else...don't like it, then don't deal with it.

So with all that being said, I hope everyone has a great weekend or at least a great of a weekend as possible.

Prayers Needed for The Glamorous French Housewife Car Wreck

Hello everyone.  I don't normally write this kind of a post but right now I am asking for all of you out there that follows my sister-in-law Kisha Jaggers aka The Glamorous French Housewife.  I got a message from my brother just a little bit ago that she was involved in a major car accident.  I don't know all the details but what I do know is this:  she was on the expressway when a car changed lanes right into her.  She was forced off the road where she fishtailed, went airborne and then slid and finally came to a stop about 25 feet down in a culvert.

She may have 2 possible broken ribs and other unknown injuries at this time.  The doctors are running test on her but her car was completely totaled.  Please keep her in your prayers and thoughts as they are trying to figure out what all is wrong with her.  My brother said that the car that cut into her never stopped and a lady behind her actually seen it happen and stopped to render help.  So to the lady that did stop and help I want to say a big THANK YOU for your assistance and concern.  I will probably never know who you are but to me you are a blessing.

To my brother and sister-in-law I want you to know that I am praying for you and hoping for good news.  I am so sorry this had to happen but the most important thing is that you are still here and Alive.  The car is replaceable and is only material.  You most certainly had an angel in the car with you for it could have been alot worse.  Please know that I love you and miss you both and I am sending hugs and prayers.

So please head over to her facebook page and let her know you are praying for her and also go to her blogger page above and let her know that you are praying for her also.  I am sure that her mother is already on a plane heading to her bedside.  So please keep her and our entire family in your prayers today as you go about your routine and know that today we are grateful and blessed that this wasn't worse then it is.

Wednesday Hodgepodge

Good morning all you blogger friends out there.  Today is another edition of Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce over at From This Side of the Pond.  Today it is all about Spring. So please join in on the fun and let us know you stopped by.

1. March is known as the windy month. Which of the following phrases best fits your March so far...'throw caution to the wind', 'three sheets to the wind', 'run like the wind', or 'see which way the wind blows'?

-----I would love to say it is a Three Sheets to the Wind but I don't drink very often so I will have to go with See which way the wind blows.  I have been waiting on some test results from a needle biopsy so and the doctor has had the results for a week now.  I still haven't heard anything so I am throwing it to the wind and marking it up to a negative result.  Don't worry be happy as my mom would say.

2. Your favorite green food? Your favorite dish made with your favorite green food?
----  Oh this one is easy....it would be spinach.  Rather it is cooked or raw, I love spinach.  The last dish I made with this was actually a salad.  It was baby spinach with grilled chicken breast on top of it with a disc of melted Parmesan cheese.  The cheese gave it a bit of texture which was great.

3. Ever been locked out of your home-car-office-anywhere? Do tell!
----  Sadly yes.  All three actually.  Most recently though was my office at work.  My HR manager decided to change all the locks in the office and gave us all new keys.  Well the same day they also changed all the locks to the building which was a different key.  So when we went to get the new key for the building my boss and I both tossed the brand new keys we were given for our actual office.  We just laughed because all the keys looked alike.

4. Yoda, Kermit, Shrek, The Wicked Witch of the West, Oscar the Grouch, The Grinch, or Mike Wasowski (Monsters Inc.)...of the green characters listed, which one's your favorite and why?
--- Oh wow what a hard one to pick.  I pretty much like them all but for a favorite I would have to say Mike Wasowski because even though faced with challenges in the movie he didn't let that stop him from being his best.  He looked at the situation and then figured a way to make it work for him.

5. "The first task of a leader is to keep hope alive."~Joe Batten Do you agree? Why or why not?
----  Absolutely agree.  Without hope most don't seem to excel or achieve what they want in life.  With Avon I am dealing with that all the time.

6. Share a favorite song with an emotion in it's title.
---Wow I actually had to google this one.  I don't tend to pay attention to the title just the lyrics.  So I am going to have to go with "She Effing Hates Me".  Just because it is raunchy, hard rock and just in your face.

7. What's a road trip you'd like to take?
---  I would love to go to the Philadelphia.  Just because I haven't been and it looks like there is alot there to see and photograph.

8. Insert your own random thought here.
--- Well this week has been packed with alot of things going on.  First and foremost, I got to feel my grandson kick yesterday.  It is so amazing to feel a new life take form and grown inside of us.  Second, my daughter got her legal issues taken care of, third, one of my reps that I introduced to Avon is going to make President's Club this week.  Less then 12% of over 1 million reps become a Presidents Club Member every year.  So this is the top of the top within the organization to be able to say you are a Presidents Club Member.

Hello everyone and Happy Friday to you.  I hope the cat above can bring a smile to your day.  Thank you for stopping by and be sure to let me know you were here and while your at it if you would click the "Join this Site" button there on the right I would appreciate it. ------->  (ok chances are this arrow isn't pointing directly to the link to join but you get the idea)

So today is another edition of Friday Letters that I have joined in with my sister-in-law Kisha at The Glamorous French Housewife so be sure to check out her site also.  There is tons of information on there.

Dear God,  thank you for giving me another day to live with my family and enjoy your wonderous creation.  We often take life for granted and I have to say that I am guilty of that at times myself.

Dear Dr.'s Office,  I really wish you would call with my biopsy results.  You were suppose to call me on Wednesday and I am still waiting.  I find out today that you all are closed on Fridays.  It must be nice to let people worry the entire weekend on results.  I know you wouldn't want to be kept waiting like you are doing me.

Dear Trent,  thank you for being by myside and giving me your shoulders to lean on when I don't think that I can go on.  You are my rock and I want you to know that I greatly appreciate you and the fact that you are my husband.

Dear Victoria,  I am glad that you are starting to feel the baby move.  You are going to also start experiencing pains that you never had since your body is adjusting to accommodate your baby.  Btw,  I love the name that you picked out for him.  It is unique at best.

Dear Brandon,  thank you for stepping up to the plate and helping more with the bills.  It is greatly appreciated and I know you are doing your best.  Just know that I love you and only want the best for you so when I chew your ass for not getting your tags done and the car transferred please remember that.

Dear Mom and Heather,  I miss you both everyday so much.  Our life hasn't been the same since you both became angels.  I know you are in heaven smiling down on us and the babies.  Just know that we love you and miss you and wish you were still here.  We know that you are no longer in pain and have the world to look at through your window in the sky.

Dear Kisha and Scott,  hope all is well and you are enjoying this beautiful weather finally.  I am so glad that spring is here and the winter is over.  Hopefully we will get to see you all soon.  Hugs and Kisses till then.

Dear Kevin and Marie,  I am glad that things are starting to turn around.  I know things can be tough sometimes but you just have to hold on and take the ride where it may go.    Hugs and Kisses to you both as well.

Dear Boss,  thank you so much for being patient and kind with me.  I know that I have really screwed up this week by being late a couple of days and I am so sorry.  My gratitude is beyond words that you are so understanding.  Now give me more work to keep me busier.

Dear blogger friends, thank you for being so supportive and encouraging as I wait on my result from my thyroid biopsy.  It is the true kindness and selflessness that truly makes you all amazing people.  I have enjoyed getting to know you and look forward to knowing you more.

Wednesday Hodgepodge!!!!

Hello everyone and welcome to the latest edition of Wednesday Hodgepodge with yours truly and of course Joyce from From This Side of the Pond.  Today it is about Spring which I am sure we all can't wait for it to get here.  Please feel free to let me know you were here and if you would be so kind as to hit the join button there on the right I would appreciate it.  Then after you have done that please click over to Joyce's blog listed above and join in on the fun.

We love meeting new people and getting to know each other.

1.  Thursday marks the first day of spring...to celebrate would you rather plant a garden or go for a walk in the woods? Would either of those activities be possible on Thursday where you live?
---I would love to go for a walk in the woods.

2. When did someone last spring something on you? (or when did you last spring something on someone?)
--- That would be about a week ago when my husband came home and said that as of April 1 we would have to pay $675 for insurance.

3.  We often think of spring as a time for new beginnings. What's something you'd like to start doing this spring?

--- I would like to get out and get more active.  Spring is so pretty.
4. Where do you like to sit in a movie theatre? When did you last sit there, and what were you watching?

----  I like sitting in the middle and it would have to be the last Fast and The Furious movie.

5. When you meet someone for the very first time, what do you want them to think about you?

--- That I know what I am doing.

6. March is frozen food month (yes, really!). Besides ice cream (gotta make you think a little) what's your most often purchased frozen food item?

---- DeGiornio Pizza

7. What's something you avoid?
--- Talking in front of crowds.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

---  My throat was swollen not to long ago and actually still is.  I went to the E.R. to get it checked out and it turns out that I have a 4 cm nodule on my thyroid.  So off to the Endocrinologist to get it checked out.  All of my blood work came back as normal so no signs of an overactiver or underactive thyroid.  So next step was to get a needle biopsy.  Let me tell you that a lydican shot hurts like helllllll.  I had that done on Monday and I should have my results back on the 19th Wednesday.  So here is to hoping and praying for positive results.

Friday Letters

Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of Friday Letters.  I have been trying to do this every Friday but I am only human and sometimes don't make it happen.  But today it is happening.  Wooohooo.

Dear God,  how much more can we possibly take of this struggle.  I have done alot of struggling in my life and have questioned you on several things but at the end of the day I know you have a plan and we are to follow it.  I get that however, I would love it if you would give us a break.

Dear Mom,  I wish you were still here with us and telling me everything is going to be ok.  I am scared of this biopsy that I have to have on my Thyroid and I know you would be telling me "don't worry, be happy" because that is what you always would say.  I could sure use you saying it to me now and giving me a hug.  I miss you terribly and I know that I will see you again some day.

Dear Heather, I was on MySpace yesterday for the first time in years and was looking at your profile.  I sure do miss you and all the things you used to do and say.  I miss the kids and wish that we could get to see them now that you are in Heaven watching over us.  It still doesn't seem real that you are in Heaven with your Nana and not here on earth with your kids and the rest of those that love you.

Dear Victoria,  I know you are going through a rough patch right now and you are missing Texas.  I just want you to know that I am so proud of you for doing what is best for you and the baby.  You are going to make a great little mommy and I can't wait to meet our monkey.  You will finally have someone to love you for you and that will never leave you (at least until they are 18).  However, just remember that kids don't come with an instruction manual and everything is by trial and error.  Just know that I am here to help anyway that I can.  I do know a thing or two about raising kids, I raised you and your sister and brother.  :-)

Dear Brandon,  The other day when I told you that because of us having to pay for insurance now and didn't know where I was going to get the extra money you looked at me and said "don't look at me for it", that really hurt.  Who was there and helped you pay for your car when you came home?  ME, yes Me, I did that and I didn't have to but I did because you are my child and I wanted to help you when I could.  You just don't realize that there is no where in the world that you can go and only pay $200 a month and that include everything you need to survive.  Your food, water, furniture, roof over your head, the internet, heat and air, laundry and everything else.  I don't know how you became so disrespectful or hateful but I don't appreciate it.  I am not your doormat and you will Not continue to treat me that way.

Dear Trent,  I love you and I know that we will get through this.  You are so encouraging with my Avon business and I appreciate that.  I just wish that I had the confidence in me that you and everyone else has.  I love coming home to you at the end of the day and you wrapping your arms around me to let me know you are there no matter what.

Dear Kisha/Scott, I miss you guys and wish you were closer or we were closer.  I swear it looks more and more promising to move up there with you all and we all get a great big house together.

Dear Kevin/Marie,  It was good seeing you guys the other day.  Sorry dinner wasn't better then just hamburgers but at least you all ate this time..lol.  I am glad that you all came over nonetheless.  I miss you guys.

Dear Doctors,  I am not looking forward to the Needle Thyroid Biopsy on Monday but you are the professionals and you are the ones with the medical knowledge.  I have no choice but to put my faith in your ability to figure out what is going on with me.  FYI, I HATE NEEDLES but I am just going to have to suck it up and endure the procedure because I want to know what is going on with me.

Dear Obamacare,  I don't understand how you can force people to take your insurance.  I understand that we should all have insurance however, the numbers that you all go according to is unrealistic.  You are only basing things off of the Pre-Tax amound of income and not the after-tax income.  At least insurance through our employers gave us the ability to take the insurance out before we got taxed to death on our earnings.  Because of this obamacare we are now at the verge of loosing everything and starving to death literally.  With our take home pay we can barely afford our rent, heat/air, water, garbage, car/car insurance and groceries.  Then you want us to pay you another $675 a month for insurance?  I just have one question....WHERE IN THE HELL DO I GET THAT FROM???????

Dear readers, thank you so much for stopping by and taking an adventure into my life.  It isn't exciting and full of great deals and steals but it is my life none the less and I know there are others out there going through the same thing if not worse then I am.  So if I can provide any insight or laughter in your life then I hope it helps your situation.  Please let me know you were here and have a great and wonderful weekend.

Winter strikes again!!!!!!!!

Well it was another cold and wet day here in Louisville.  It was very depressing because it started out so pretty and warm.  Yesterday was absolutely beautiful with sunny skies and warm weather in the 70's.  Today however was a different story.

Today it was warm in the morning and by 8:30 it started to rain and get cold.  The wind was whipping around like no tomorrow and then after lunch the white stuff started to come down.  Luckily it didn't stick but the cold weather did manage to stay.  I am so tired of this cold weather that I wish I could escape to Florida or California.

According to the weather channel it is suppose to be in the mid 40's tomorrow and then the mid 60's Friday and Saturday and back to the 40's on Sunday.  I think mother nature needs prozac.  I thought I had bad hot flash swings but she is driving me crazy.

So tonight was only fitting to have a nice warm comfy dinner.  I took the easy route since the weather was so nasty outside I decided to dig through the cabinets and see what I could find.  I swear nothing beats a great Grilled Cheese Sandwich and a bowl of Hot Soup on a cold wintery day.

So I fixed two big cans of soup so everyone had an option on which kind they wanted and it hit the spot.  I ate cream of mushroom soup with mine while one of my kids joined in on the mushroom and the other along with hubby choose chicken noodle soup.  Either way, I was a winner with dinner.

So after dinner I have been enjoying a nice hot cup of coffee while catching up on my soap opera.  I haven't been able to see an actual episode on t.v. of the Young and the Restless for a year now.  It sucks watching it on the computer because of all of the commercials.

I got several posts done today, finished my laundry, talked to a great mentor tonight and enjoyed the peace and quiet at home.  I got news today that I will have to go have a biopsy done on my thyroid on Monday which I am not looking forward to but it is what it is.  So I am going to try and hold a yard sale on Saturday and possibly do some recruiting as well.

Hope everyone has a wonderful evening and no matter where you are in the world I hope you stay safe, warm and happy.

Beauty for Sale!!!!!!

Hello all of you bloglanders out there and thank you for stopping by and visiting me.  I just love having company and getting to know new people.  So be sure to drop me a line and let me know you were here and if you would be so kind as to follow me that would be awesome!!!!!!!

Well we got word Friday that my husbands work is no longer going to provide insurance which is a bummer because I can't get insurance through my work either.  So the only option we have is to pay for it out of pocket.  Thanks to the new Obamacare alot of people are getting hit with having to pay high premiums or higher deductibles and losing what coverage they have now and can afford.  We are one of those people.  It is really sad that we seem to be getting punished because Obama decided that Everyone HAS to have insurance.  Now don't get me wrong, I think everyone should have insurance also because without it you can't get help if you don't.  However, I don't think it is fair that we are getting forced to carry it.

The worst part is that the smaller companies such as my husbands can't afford to keep providing the option for insurance for its employees because the rates are tripling and even quadrupling for some.  The employers know that they will get hit with a fine if they don't provide it but in all honesty it is cheaper for them to pay the fine then it is to keep offering insurance to their employees.  Now I know some may disagree with me on this issue and that is totally fine, like me you are entitled to your opinion.

We make enough to get by on at the moment and now we are faced with an additional $675 bill a month for insurance that was only costing us $220 a month so you see why I am upset.  That $455 dollars was our grocery money for the month.  So with that being said I have to part with one of my beautiful rings to try and help make ends meet as well as my hubby and I both looking for a second job.  Now I also do Avon part-time and I have worked hard for the accomplishments that I have with Avon but that still isn't enough.

I have talked about moving into an apartment so we can try and save money but in reality that doesn't save us but $80 a month so it isn't worth the move.  It isn't worth the loss of privacy or the loss of having a driveway to park in.  So that isn't an option for us.

So instead I am offering to sell my Leo Solitare ring that is size 7 and is 3/4 carat yellow 14 carat gold and a wrap that has 23 diamonds in it and is also 14 carat gold.  The rings are appraised at $7500 and I am asking $4000 for them firm.  I have taken them to local jewelers that say they buy rings as well as pawn shops but they are only willing to give a 10th of the value of the rings so that isn't an option either.

This is a picture of the set together and with the Leo by itself.  I don't want to sell them however, I don't have much of a choice.  If you are interested or know someone who is please share and email me with the Post Title as the Subject Line.

I am also looking for more people to join my team with Avon and earn some extra income as well.  You can visit my website Avon to shop or click here to go straight to the opportunity page and for a limited time you can join for only $10 and get GUARANTEED EARNINGS of 40% for your first 2 months.  No matter where you are in the United States you can still sign up by clicking the link here.  You must be 18 years old, have a checking account or a credit card that isn't an American Express.  For the $10 you get a FREE website that anyone in the U.S. can shop anytime 24/7, you get your books and samples, you get online training and valuable information and opportunity.

Tracing Lines Wednesday Hodgepodge!!!!

Good Wednesday Morning everyone in Blogland!!!!!  Trust me that sounds much more cheery in my head then I am feeling.  I haven't gotten much sleep lately but that is another story.  Today we are joining up with Joyce again over at From This Side of the Pond for another edition of her Wednesday Hodgepodge.  So be sure to check her out and join in on the fun.  We love meeting new bloggers and friends.  Be sure to let me know you were here and then head on over to Joyce's site and join in the fun and link up.

1. Do you have an interest in learning about your family's heritage? Why or why not? If you know a little bit about your roots, share an interesting piece of trivia or a fun fact about someone who goes way back on your family tree.
---- I have always been interested because I want to know where I come from.   I have done some research on my mom's side since I didn't know anything about my dad's side for years.  Finally found my dad and my sister introduced me to the rest of the family.  Found out that we are linked back to the Cherokee Indianas as well as being related to Lady Godiva.  Oh I almost forgot, I have a copy of a land deed that was signed by George Washington himself that gave land to one of my ancestors.  However, when I search my dads side, I find nothing literally.  Not sure how that all works but Indiana is hard to find info on line for ancestory.

2. Branch Rickey, the baseball exec credited with signing Jackie Robinson, is quoted as saying-

"Luck is the residue of design."
Agree or disagree? Why?
--- I some what agree and disagree.  Some people work hard for things and when good things happen we call it achievement.  When people don't work for it and make no effort and seem to leech off of everyone and everything then we see their fortune as Luck.  In reality it isn't luck at all.  We all choose how to make things happen and when someone who is a leach seems to be lucky, in reality they are quite smart because they can get what they want without the others knowing what they did to get it or realize that they were being manipulated to giving those leaches exactly what they wanted.

3. In the town where you currently reside, what's your favorite green space?
----- I honestly don't think I have one.

4. Who is your favorite comedian?
---- Jeff Dunham by far.  I mean seriously have you seen him in person?  OMG me and the hubby went one year to the fair when he was here and we laughed so hard we almost wet ourselves.  It was the best time I have every had.

5. March is National Nutrition Month, and almost everyone needs to improve their diet in some way.  What about you? How can you improve your nutrition on a daily basis? Will you try?
---- OH where to start with this one.  I guess I could start by drinking less coffee and getting more water.  I seem to drink coffee 24/7 which I have tried to cut down but honestly I don't put much effort into it.  The next would have to be eating out everyday for lunch.  This one I WILL work on because we were just slapped with a $675 insurance bill since my husband no longer has insurance through his work.  Thanks OBAMA.....NOT!!!!!!

6. Which of these green expressions have you 'experienced' in recent weeks -green with envy, green thumb, green around the gills, or give the green light? Explain.
---Well it would have to be Green around the Gills for sure.  I have been extremely nauseous today and have been experiencing extreme nausea at night to the point I wake up having to run to the bathroom with dry heaves.  Not sure what is wrong....probably all the coffee I drink.

7. Where is one place you don't mind waiting?
---- In the center of Disneyland for the Parade.  I am just a big kid when it comes to Disney of course I think we all are in a way.  Seriously who wouldn't mind waiting until this was over to get to your next ride.  I loved it and would go back just for the parade.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
---- Well it has been a difficult couple of weeks around my house.  I found out that I have a 4 cm nodule on my thyroid and it requires a biopsy because all of my blood work and levels are normal.  So the doctor isn't sure what it is.  Then to add insult to injury, my husband finds out that his employer is no longer offering insurance at his work.   However, his boss was nice enough to arrange for an agent to come to the office and get them all started on an "INDIVIDUAL" policy.  My husband called and told me that the agent told him that "I HAVE TO be on MY OWN POLICY" because that is the law, uhhhh I called Bullshit on that one.  It isn't the law.  Besides I agreed not to take the insurance at my work for exchange of my pay.  So here it is 2 weeks before April when the insurance he has stops and the new one begins.  Just when I meet the deductible...lol.  Now we have to fork out $675 additional dollars that we already don't have for insurance.  Thanks alot OBAMA, you should be thrown out of the white house for this one.  Since you say everyone has to have insurance and it is "affordable" then employers are dropping left and right the benefits they provide because guess what?????????? IT'S NOT AFFORDABLE!!!!!!
Ok Rant over.  I will save that for my own blog. :-)

Don't forget to let me know you were here and your thoughts and then link up with Joyce and join in with us.

Family Fun and BBQ Chicken

HELLO everyone and welcome to my blog.

Today I am sharing with you dinner and game time from last night.  You see yesterday I had to go to the doctor because I found a nodule on my thyroid about 3 weeks ago.  I went for the results yesterday and I was upset after I left there.  The doctor said that all of my levels are normal and my blood work is fine but the nodule is 4 cm and is larger then my thyroid.  Soooooooo, with that said I have to go get a biopsy on it and the doctor is hoping it isn't Cancer.  Yes he said "let's hope it's not Cancer", really, why would you say that.  Anyway, I was a little upset when I left.

I stopped at the grocery store on the way home and got stuff for dinner and things that my pregnant daughter wanted me to get so she can make some snack-age and other stuff for dinner.  She is a wonderful cook and is going to be an excellent mommy.  She is only 4 1/2 months but already doing all things the doctor tells her.

So I get home with groceries and I decided that I wanted to have some bbq chicken, red potatoes and collard greens.  Ok Vicky wanted Collard Greens, I wanted the red potatoes but it was Vicky's recipe and the chicken well I have wanted forever.  Sorry I wanted to take pictures but my phone was dead by the time I got home from the store.  So I had to snatch these real quick before it was completely dead.

So to take my mind off of what the doctor said I asked if anyone wanted to play YAHTZEE which we haven't played in forever.  I had to keep my mind occupied.  So I was playing Yahtzee and finishing up dinner at the same time.

This is a picture after we got done playing.  Vicky won the first one, I think hubby won the second one which I didn't play and I won one and then it was time to eat dinner.  Which was super delicious and hit the spot.  There was even enough for me to take to work today for lunch.  My daughter put away dinner and packed my lunch.  She even left a note on it saying it was mine and reminding me to take my water with me to work.

I have to say that my hubby and daughter did good at keeping my mind off of the doctors statement.  I was not happy that he said that to me but it is what it is at least he didn't sugar coat it.  So today I am a little better.  After thinking about it yesterday I realized it really isn't anything to be worried about.

Well I guess I will close for now but I want to wish everyone a Happy Friday and may you have a wonderful weekend.

Friday Letters!!!!!!

Hello everyone and welcomed to another edition of Friday Letters.  I hope you are having a wonderful day and a great weekend planned.

Dear God,  I know you are in complete and total control of everything in the universe.  However, I would like to ask a favor of you.  Please let whatever this growth is on my thyroid be benign.  The doctor said that all of my levels are normal and he can't explain why I have a 4 cm nodule on my thyroid so I get to go have a biopsy.  Please let it come back negative.

Dear Trent,  thanks for all of your support.  I know you don't like to show your emotions alot of the time and you are always there rooting me on and reassuring me that everything is going to be ok.  You are my rock but I want you to know that I am your rock also.  Together we are each other's anchors in this stormy sea of life.

Dear Victoria,  I didn't mean to say that the doctor said "lets hope its not cancer" in front of you.  I know you are worried because you held me yesterday and without saying a word you said it all.  I love you and I want you to know that there is nothing to worry about.  We can't control anything in this world and I meant what I said with this is nothing.  Worse case scenario is that I will have to have it removed and be on pills the rest of my life.

Dear Brandon,  I wish you were more interactive with the family instead of being on your games all the time.  I love you and want you to be a part of this family for things other then eating and moving.

Dear Kisha & Scott,  don't worry be happy!!!!!  I am waiting for the doctors office to call with an appointment for a biopsy.  The doctor said that all of my levels are normal and he doesn't have a clue what it could be.  So we are now waiting for the appointment.

Dear Kevin and Marie,  hope things are going better for you.  I miss you guys and hopefully you all will be able to come over this weekend and have dinner with us.  You all need to stop getting sick damn it.

Dear KayLee and Aadyn,  I miss you more then words can express.  I wish that I could see you both and hold you so that you know that you are loved.  When your mommy went to Heaven it tore our family apart but it did not stop our family from wanting to be with you and showing you how loved you are.  Unfortunately, your fathers wouldn't let us have that chance.  I pray that one day they will change their minds.  We are not the enemy.  We Love You Both and Miss You Both!!!!!!!

Dear bloggy friends,  thanks for stopping by and hanging out for a bit.  I hope that you decide to follow me on the blog and let me know you are here even it if is just stopping by for a bit.

Wednesday Hodgepodge

Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Wednesday Hodgepodge brought to you by Joyce over at From This Side of the Pond.  Feel free to leave me a message and follow and then check out her blog and link up to the party.  She is always coming up with some great questions to really get you thinking.

1. The expression 'mad as a March hare' originated with a fictional character who is distracted and frantic. When were you last 'mad as a March hare' and what was it that made you that way?
---- I find I am this way alot lately.  I have to say that my biggest issue is because of clutter and unorganization.  Ok my unorganization but I still manage to find what I am looking for...it just might including getting a dumpster first....lol.

2. Mardi Gras this year falls on Tuesday, March 4th. Have you ever been to Mardi Gras, and if so what did you think? If not, do you have any interest in going?  Purple, green, and gold are the colors of Mardi Gras. Which one is most prevalent in your wardrobe? How about in your home?
-----  I have never been and honestly don't think I ever want to go.  Now when I was in my early 20's yes I probably would have considered going but honestly I have no interest in it now.  I don't have alot of purple but compared to the other two choices Purple wins everytime.

3. Are you old fashioned?
---- With some things but it really depends on what the situation is.  I still believe in manners, letting the elder go first, asking if someone needs help if they look like they are struggling and holding the door open for others

4. Do you carefully plan your vacations, or do you prefer the days to be more spontaneous?
----- I try to plan out every detail of vacations.  Especially since we don't usually have money to take one I make sure that I find the cheapest yet safest of everything and I am always googling the free things to do where we are going.

5.  March is National Sauce Month...what's your favorite sauce, and what do you most often top with this sauce?
----- Mine would have to be Honey Mustard which is weird because I don't really care for mustard.  I guess it is the tangy part of it that I like the most.

6.  What's something that easily brings a tear to your eye?
----- The song "In the Arms of an Angel" which I heard every night for a solid week at 8:35 on the Animal Shelter commercial which was also the exact time that my daughter was hit on a motorcycle.  I still have a hard time listening to it even on the radio.

7. If you could own any sports team, which one would it be and why?
---- I wouldn't own any of them but if I did, then I would want to be part owner of the one that Bon Jovi owns.  I mean seriously just look at him, rather he is looking at you from the 80's, 90's or 00's he is still yummy yummy.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
----- I have been doing alot of thinking and I am going to start making alot of changes in my life.  Staring with my clutter.  I have alot of weight to lose and I need to get my finances in order.  So I will be doing alot of soul searching and writing trying to figure it all out.  I will keep people posted when I make an achievement.
Please leave me a comment to let me know you were here and please follow.  I love making new friends.

Technologically Challenged!!!!!!

This would so be me if I owned a gun....lol.  I have to say that I am pretty good with the computer and figuring out what I want and how to do it.  HOWEVER, when it comes to Twitter, InstaGram, Pinterest. YouTube and yes even this blog, I get a little confused and frustrated.  I mean come on I still have to yell for my son to help me with the DVD player.  Yes I know that is sad isn't it.  I mean seriously who in the world doesn't know how to work one of those things.  You turn it on, push the open button, put your dvd in and close it and it starts playing all on it's own usually.  So you would think that since I have the basics down I can do it right?!, WRONG!!!!!  You have to make sure that your t.v. is on the right preset or nothing comes on the screen.  So you see this is where I really get confused with all the different things you have to know.  I just give up.  The sad part is, my husband, who doesn't even know how to work a computer pretty much knows how to do this.  So sad I am.

My sister-in-law Kisha over at The Glamorous French Housewife is all over these things and tells me all the time that I need to be on them.  Ok, fine, I give in you win, I tell her.  So I go and I create an account on all of these different sites.  I try to re-tweet, instagram, I watch YouTube (never uploaded), re-pin and post blogs.  However, I haven't a clue what I am doing on most of them.  For instance, I want to make a video of my late daughter and include her voicemail in the video.  So I open HP Video maker, add photos, I manage to add her voicemail so everyone can hear her voice and then I am stuck.  I don't know how to make it short, long, fade in, out, right side, left side any of it.  You get where I am going here.  Yes I am clueless.  So I give up.  Well Saturday my sister-in-law Kisha calls and she walks me through it.  Man didn't I feel like an idiot.  That was so simple, seriously how could I have not known how to do that.   So I saved it and I will finish it later.  So now back to why I originally started writting this post.

PINTEREST ROLL OVER BUTTON!!!!!!  You know that Pin-It button that pops up when you scroll over an imagine in a blog.  Well I wanted to do that on my photos in my blog so instead of irritating Kisha I decided I was going to figure it out on my own.....ummmm yehhhhh uhhhhhh WRONG!!!!!!  I searched all weekend, watched tons of YouTube videos and read countless articles only to scratch my head and say "whhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttttttttttt???????"  Yeah no clue, didn't understand any of it as if it was in Korean or something.  Then today at work I decided to Google it again and Viola found the best article ever.

For some reason the hours of searching, watching and reading did not pull up this post here until today.  So it must be my lucky Monday day.  Karen at Sew Many Ways explains it with screen shots.  I would say that with over a 100 comments thanking her for this article that I am not the only one out there that didn't understand how to do this.  So I want to say Thank You to Karen for breaking it down for me to understand.  Now if only everyone would add a "Print Friendly" button on their blog that would be awesome but one thing at a time.  When I get home tonight I will be adding this button to my photos that I will be putting up and praising Karen for all of her wonderful effort, direction, and screen shoots that she has provided.

So happy Monday, sorry for the long post but hopefully you have enjoyed it.  Be sure to leave me a note and let me know I am not alone.

Dreary Sunday!!!!!

Good Sunday Morning everyone.  I just wanted to take this time to say hello and that I hope you all are staying dry, warm and safe.  Today we are experiencing as much of you are a wet, cold unpredictable day.

The weather just doesn't seem to be letting up.  I don't know about the rest of you but I am sick of this weather.  Now don't get me wrong I love all the seasons but seriously this is March.  March for crying out loud.  It is time for sunshine and rainbows in my opinion.  I can't ever remember it being like this with the weather here in Kentucky.  I believe that it should only snow one day a year and that is Christmas.  The rest of the time it needs to be clear weather with a scattered shower here and there.

But with it being the way it is outside I guess it is a good time to get my garage cleaned up and busy with my Avon brochures for delivery.  If you click on the Avon link you will be taken directly to my site and can enjoy all the wonderful things that we have to offer.  Right now we several specials going on for you to enjoy.  One of them being these absolutely comfortable slippers that come in both pretty pastel colors or in this black color.   The best part is you can mix or match any 2 for $22.  Wouldn't you just love to slip these on your feet and kick back and enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee.

While I was composing this blog my Wonderful Husband decided that he was going to make breakfast.  We went to this little restaurant named Butters when we were in Scottsdale, AZ a year and a half ago and they had one of the most amazing breakfast skillets I have ever had.  My husband ordered me their HMOP (Ham, mushrooms, onions, potatoes) which also had cheese and came with an egg on top.  OMG it was out of this world amazing.  So every since he recreates it for me at least once a month.
Doesn't this just look delicious?!?!?!

Needless to say I wasn't able to eat all of it but it was so wonderful and filled me up quicker then I thought.  Now he is doing dishes and cleaning up the kitchen from breakfast.  I tell you what I have one of the most wonderful husbands there is.  He cooks as much as I do, he doesn't let me do the dishes and is always willing to go out and delivery Avon brochures and deliveries with me.

So I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and again, be safe and stay warm out there.  If you are in the path of this weather that they are talking about on the news which they say is starting in California and reaching all across from the East Coast to the West Coast.  Don't forget to drop me a line and click on follow for more wonderful updates and post to come.
