First off I want to apologize for any typos...I am typing one handed. I had to have surgery today on my left hand for Carpel Tunnel. We got up at 6 this morning and headed to the hospital and got there right at 7. Let me just say I was not a happy camper. No coffee, no cigarette, no deodorant and no food. But I did get to go in my pjs...lol.
We got straight back to the room and waited for 3 hrs before they wheeled me in and really not a happy camper at this point. I didn't get any meds until in the operating room. I told them that I wanted drugs that worked quick. The nurse said "no problem, I got lots of drugs and good ones". The next thing I hear is the nurse calling my name to wake me up in recovery. She was right she did have the good drugs lol.
I ask for my husband and he walks in with a cup of coffee for me, made me super happy, thank you sweetie. After taking a couple of drinks I sat up on the bed and told him to get me the hell out of there so I can have a real cup of coffee and a cigarette. I thought the nurse was going to have a heart attack because I started unplugging everything and was getting dressed. She made me stop so she could get my vitals which didn't make me to happy but I waited on her. Then I continued to finish getting dressed with my husbands help of course, after all I only could use one hand. I was really surprised I was able to move around so quick after coming out of surgery. So I got in the wheelchair and out I went. I was so happy to be going home but more happy for a cigarette and a real cup of coffee. Not to mention I had to get home and feed the pregnant squirrel.
We went and picked up the hubby's paycheck, then the bank, pick up my meds and then home. Of course the first thing I do is start a pot of coffee then outside to feed the squirrel, who by the way was sitting on the railing looking for her nuts. I came out the door and she hopped over on the tree trunk and watched. After a few minutes of me being inside she came to eat. Then another squirrel thought he would have some but she wasn't having any of that, she turned and charged at him. She won!!
So after doing nothing but playing games on the computer I finally was able to take a shower man do I feel a 10000000% better. However, the numbness has worn off and now I can feel the pain but its not to bad. Hopefully I don't have trouble sleeping tonight but we will see. But on the better note, both of my kids called me today twice to see how I was doing. I miss having my kids at home!
I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will talk to you all later. Don't forget to get entered into the HUGE Avon giveaway which you can see here.
